This vehicle is displayed in our San Carlos California Showroom (650) 326-1000. http://www.specialtysales.com/1928-chrysler-imperial-limousine--c-1909.htm, Here is your chance to own a car that was a member of the famous Harrah's collection!Documented history of this vehicle! Less than 33K Miles! This 1928 Chrysler Imperial 80 Limousine we have here is a documented vehicle originally ordered by Lord Selby Lowndes of Gloucestershire, England. The flag post on the right fender gives us a good hint of the “official way of travel” in the 20’s and 30’s. It is also amazing that such a vehicle survived WW2 in one piece. When Lord Selby passed the Limousine was acquired by one, then another discrete collector(s). The super rare, one of two know to exist, Chrysler 80 Limousine was next acquired by world famous car collector and hotelier, Bill Harrah. This “Big Six”, (a huge in line six cylinder engine) car has documented 32,715 miles. The small brass plaque in the rear of the coach has the original owners name engraved. The car has been with the current owner, (who purchased it from Bill Harrah) for 15 years. This meticulous individual has updated or restored a slight yet significant percentage of the carriage and partial list is as fallows: New Landau top, floor mats, seating areas, (have extra vintage material) by “Cooks” in Redwood City, rebuilt starter, rebuilt hydraulic brakes, re-chromed and ‘rodded’ radiator, hubcaps restored with nickel plating, thresholds restored with correct polished aluminum materials and new 6 volt Caterpillar battery. Unfortunately we must state the fuel gage is not currently working. Other than that, this car is a great runner. Recent President of the Chrysler Club of California, quoted this as the only other limousine of this type in existence. The color paint scheme on this fabulous museum on wheels is original in black with blue doors and the paint on the doors, in the deep lapis blue color, is original. How many people can claim to have owned a piece of history, once owned not only by a world famous car collector, Bill Harrah, but by British Royal Lord Selby Lowndes of Gloucestershire, England? Just a few.
