This example is a very nice combination of original, with some cosmetic and mechanical restoration as needed and completed in 2005. This is one of the few cars that actually looks better in person than in the pictures. According to the current owner, this car started life as a standard Chevelle with a V-8 engine and was badged to replicate an SS. The engine is an early 70's 454 big block V-8, completely rebuilt with some mild performance upgrades. The transmission is a Muncie 4-speed manual with a 12 bolt rear, 4:10 gears and positraction. It has power steering, power disc brakes and air shocks on the rear. The car was professionally painted in GM White Diamond paint with SS ghost stripes under the clear coat. The bumpers were re-chromed and all new exterior emblems were installed, the undercarriage appears to be mostly original and is solid, clean and dry. Rounding out the package are some great looking Torque Thrust wheels with Firestone Indy 500 tires.
